How credible are the rehabilitation centers and medical professionals in India?

Indicure works only works with the best physicians and rehab experts of the country. Indicure has its own internal criteria to choose the medical specialists and medical professionals. Most of our network partners are trained in the west and have years of experience of working in the western countries.

The patient can go through the CV of the doctor and medical expert.

Would the rehabilitation done on outpatient or inpatient basis?

We have association with both- Hospitals which offer inpatient rehabilitation services and clinics offering rehabilitation services on outpatient basis. Your case manager with discuss the options with you.

Where would the patient and attendant stay in case of out patient rehabilitation?

Indicure has association with various hotels and service apartments close to the treatment centers where the patient and the relative can stay during the time of treatment. You would get hotel rooms at discounted rates in case you make advance booking.

The service apartments are fully furnished with all the amenities like crockery, refrigerator, TV etc for the comfortable stay of the patient and relatives.

How would the transportation be arranged to and back from the center?

A taxi or a basic ambulance can be arranged for the patient and relative for the travel to and from the center by Indicure at discounted rates.

What if the patient is bed ridden and cannot travel to the center everyday for the treatment?

The patient can choose to stay at the inpatient facility where one or two persons accompanying the patient can stay with him/her.

If the patient does not wish to stay in hospital set up, he/ she can choose to stay in a hotel or serviced apartment.

Our network of centers are fully equipped to cater to the patient requirements even if the patient stays at the hotel or service apartment and cannot travel back and forth everyday to the centre. They have all portable machines which can be brought by the expert therapists everyday or if required will be installed at your hotel or service apartment.

Would you arrange for the airport pick up?

Yes, Indicure arranges for an ambulance (with a wheel chair and a stretcher) with a qualified physiotherapist at the air port so that the patient is in safe hands as soon as he/ she reaches India. We definitely understand the situation the patient would be in after a long flight and thus make every arrangement to make the patient and relative feel comfortable at the earliest. You can be taken to the center or your hotel directly according to your convenience.

How long would I have to stay in India?

The length of stay completely depends on the injury or disability you are suffering from and what goals do you want to achieve. It can only be told be the expert therapist after having done your assessment or at least after a review of your medical reports.

How and when do I need to pay?

Indicure would send you the detailed treatment plan and the estimated cost of procedure and stay in India. You would require paying 40% of the cost to secure the booking at least three weeks prior to your arrival, which is refundable after deducting administrative charges if you decide not to undergo the procedure.

You can pay through wire transfer/ telegraphic transfer/ remit money online from your country. The rest can be paid upon arrival in India. When in India you can pay in cash or through traveler's cheque/ demand draft.

What if I must postpone my trip due to personal reasons?

If the patient must postpone the trip due to personal reasons after the deposit was made, he/she may ask for a reschedule. Indicure will stick to the original price for 3 months after the date in which the trip was postponed, but once that period elapses, the package's price could be modified. The deposit will be held and considered as payment on account. Visit the section Terms and Conditions of the Service to see the cancellation policy.

What happens if there are complications?

In India, the law requires the patient to sign an agreement to state that he/she will undergo surgery on his/her own free will.

If any problem arises and the treatment needs to be changed, the physician will inform you of the options so that you will be able to make the best decision. If by any reason you are in no condition to make a decision, the physician will discuss the matter with the person you have assigned as your guardian.

You will be kept informed at all times and, if necessary, Indicure will offer you the possibility of asking for a second opinion from another professional.

What if I decide to leave earlier than the doctor advises?

 The treating doctor/ therapist decide the minimum time that the patient will need to stay in India in order to recover favorably. We advise you to go according to the treating doctor's recommendation. However, if you decide to leave earlier, then neither Indicure nor the treating doctor or institution can be held responsible.

What if I decide to stay longer in India?

If you wish to stay longer, Indicure can provide you with various options of rejuvenation, accommodation, side trips and can arrange the same for you in India.

How would I follow up with my therapist in India after I come back home?

We ensure that you have a full record of the discharge notes including details of the therapy done, X-rays, MRI scans etc. to ensure the follow up care and any physiotherapy is swiftly integrated. Our doctors and therapists in India can liaise with your local GP or specialist to ensure that everything is fine even after you go back.
